Thanks to all our participating churches.  Through your efforts, the CBA collected 484 buckets.  The TBC collected over 13,000 buckets.

The Cumberland Baptist Assocaiton is proud to be an offical collection point for the Buckets of Hope Project.

The “Buckets of Hope” ministry is just one means by which Tennessee Baptists can fulfill the mandate of Jesus Christ to feed the hungry in the name of Jesus. As we are reminded in Matthew 25:45, Jesus tells us, “Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.” (KJV)

A “Bucket of Hope” consists of a plastic five-gallon bucket packed with selected foodstuffs. For approximately $30 anyone can purchase the materials and assemble a "Bucket of Hope." The food contained in a single bucket will feed a Haitian family of 6-8 for a week. You are also requested to include a $10 cash contribution or check (made payable to Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief), placed in an envelope and attached to the lid of the bucket, to offset the cost of transporting the relief buckets to Haiti. (Or you can
make a contribution to the Tennessee Baptist Convention and mark it for Haiti Buckets of Hope contribution.)

Every bucket must be exactly alike with a specific list of items inside. Please follow the detailed instructions  carefully. This will ensure that every bucket quickly passes through customs and into the hands of the Haitian people.

The Cumberland Baptist Association has procurred the appropriate type of 5 gallon bucket.

  • The bucket and lid must be totally white
  • The bucket cannot contain any logos

You may purchase a bucket from the CBA for $5.00.  Buckets that do not meet the specifications will not be able to be used.  Contact the Cumberland Baptist Association with the number of buckets your church will need for this vital ministry.

DEADLINE FOR TENNESSEE COLLECTION SITES IS MARCH 11, 2010.

Your may drop off the bucket anytime during operating hours.
